A Space for Peace

Peace is possible.

It’s there

​ ​ ​​​ ​​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​in the liminal space.

Peace exists

between us;

without ‘them’

without others.

In pieces,

in places,

in faces

peace meets us.

It’s present;

a presence,

​ ​ ​​​ ​​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​your presence,

a present

today;

in a moment:

​ ​ ​​​ ​​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ a leaf on a branch,

​ ​ ​​​ ​​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​a raindrop in Spring,

​ ​ ​​​ ​​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​before a chord,

​ ​ ​​​ ​​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ in a beat.

It’s

​ ​ ​​​ ​​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​the pulse of the world.

So — take a second

to feel it

and know ​ ​ ​​​ ​​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​we’re connected.

It may look like chaos,

but that’s just the start.

Peace lives within us;

you just have to claim it.

It’s there –

in the fissures.

that peace can be found

in the wounds

and the scars
